2011 is almost here, and we at SeriouslyBoard want you to give you the heads up on a few exciting titles that are just around the corner!
Every year brings with it new and exciting titles, and 2011 is no exception.
Here are a few of the earliest ones that have caught our eye…
A very popular title at Essen 2010, 7 Wonders is a card development game set in the antiquities. Each player must build their civilisation while keeping a cautious eye on their neighbours. With an expected playing time of just 30 minutes, and a capability to accommodate 2-7 players, 7 Wonders is very deserving of its hype and is due to arrive on our shelves in mid-January.
Merchants & Marauders
More than 4 years in the works, Merchants & Marauders has travelled a bumpy path towards production before being picked up by Z-Man Games, but the wait has been worth it. Players take to the Caribbean and seek glory, either by trading goods or by good old fashioned lootin’ and plunderin’. With 2-4 players, Merchants & Marauders can take 3 hours of your time, and it truly brings the golden age of piracy to life! We’re expecting to see it in late January.
Agricola: The Goodies
Okay, so this one isn’t a game all on its own, but an expansion to the award-winning Agricola. In fact, this isn’t one expansion, but many. Agricola: The Goodies includes the various deck expansions that have previously been available only in Germany, along with season-themed boards, a variety of stickers, and more wooden caricatures of animals, vegetables, and resources than you can shake an agricultural stick at. If you have Agricola, it’ll forever be incomplete until you get Agricola: The Goodies, which will be ready to enhance your farming experience from mid-January.
