With two pre-school children, we just don’t have the energy to give this company the care and energy it requires.
SeriouslyBoard was founded in 2009 and has earned a strong reputation off the back of strong customer service and a community-focused approach to the board gaming hobby. This was joined by Board Games By The Bay in 2011, a series of community board gaming events around the North Island. This, too, has been well-received by the gaming community, with over 500 tickets sold for BGBTB events in 2014.
SeriouslyBoard also has a strong social media presence, with almost 900 Facebook fans and over 1,300 Twitter followers, in addition to a customer database of over 1,100 gamers.
We are currently seeking expressions of interest for this market-leading business, comprising an online retail store and nationwide events brand. To view a prospectus, or to express interest, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What if I have pre-ordered a game or pledged for a Kickstarter game through SeriouslyBoard?
We have every intention of ensuring all pre-ordered games will be delivered as promised or – if that isn’t possible – refunds will be issued.
What happens to Board Games By The Bay?
Board Games By The Bay will go ahead in Hamilton in August as planned. BGBTB Auckland in November will be dependent on what the new owners of SeriouslyBoard choose to do – either the event will proceed as planned, or pre-ordered tickets will be refunded. We will of course make an announcement once we have more information.
How soon will the business change hands?
That will depend on us making an agreement with an interested buyer. We’ll let you know as soon as we have some useful information to pass on.
