Product Description

Gaia Project is a medium heavy area control, engine building, strategy board game for 1 to 4 players.

Gaia Project is a new game in the line of Terra Mystica.  Like its predecessor, players choose from one of 14 factions, pairs of which share one of the seven home environments.  Factions then compete to develop and grow by terraforming neighbouring planets into their home environments. Additionally, Gaia planets can be used by all factions for colonisation, and Transdimensional planets can be changed into Gaia planets.

All factions in Gaia Project can improve their skills in six different areas of development — Terraforming, Navigation, Artificial Intelligence, Gaiaforming, Economy, and Research.  This leads to advanced technology and special bonuses. To assist with this, each faction has its own set of special skills and abilities.

Three and four player games use ten sectors to create a playing area. The two player game uses seven sectors. This variable set-up allows Gaia Project even greater replay value than Terra Mystica.
