Catan: Cities and Knights allows players to create knights to protect the land from invading barbarians and build city improvements that give that city’s owner additional benefits, adding even more variety to the fantastic original game, Settlers of Catan.

In Catan: Cities and Knights barbarians are invading Catan and will target the players with the weakest defense. In order to defend against the barbarians, players compete to build three great metropolises, each with different benefits, including being worth more victory points that either a city or settlement.

Catan: Cities and Knights also requires players to complete city improvements, using the additional resources; coin, paper and cloth. Players can improve their city’s culture, muster their knights and enrich the city, all in the effort to gain the most victory points, and ultimately win the game.
