Carcassonne: The Tower

Carcassonne: The Tower is the fourth major expansion for Carcassonne, and enables players to build towers in order to capture opponents' followers. Players are able to free their captured follower, but it comes at a price.

In Carcassonne: The Tower, instead of placing a follower on their turn, a player is now able to play a tower segment- to either add to an existing tower or begin a new one. Alternatively, they can place a follower on top of a tower to complete it. The higher the tower is, the further the owner of the tower is able to ‘travel’ in order to capture their opponents’ followers.

Carcassonne: The Tower is a interesting new expansion for the fantastic base game, requiring players to think far more carefully about where they deploy their followers, as placing them too close to a tower could have end up in their capture.
