Why buy from SeriouslyBoard.co.nz?

We’re more than an online store – we’re passionate board gaming folk who are active supporters of the gaming community, and strong advocates for local Kiwi designers. We also feel confident that we can offer highly competitive prices and great service to the person that matters most: you!

Why are your prices cheaper on the website than on TradeMe?

We sell a few items on TradeMe, but our prices there tend to be $2 more than on SeriouslyBoard.co.nz. This is intended to go a small way to account for TradeMe’s success fees. Suffice to say, it’s more affordable for both buyer and seller if the sale is made from our website.

Why are all of your prices rounded to the nearest dollar value?

The cynic in us doesn’t like having to fork out a certain number of cents on top of the dollar value to pay for an item. We see it as a misleading marketing ploy and just plain confusing. We figured it’d be better if we just rounded it down to the next dollar! The only exception to this is when you use a discount code.

How do I use my discount code?

Once you’ve added your items to your shopping cart and arrived at the checkout, there will be a text box there for you to enter it into.  (Keep in mind that the promo codes are case sensitive.)  Then all you need to do is click the ‘apply’ button, and you’re away laughing!

How much does freight cost?

Freight costs $8 per order nationwide. This covers the courier ticket, bubble wrapping, and a custom-sized box. If your order requires more than one package, the freight cost is still $8 for the entire order.  And if your purchase totals $125 or more excluding freight, we won’t charge you a cent to receive your order.

How long will it take for my game to be delivered?

Packages typically take approximately 3 business days from when we send them to when they arrive at your door. We also trace the tickets to ensure you receive your game promptly.

What if I can’t find the game I’m looking for?

While we’d love to have the entire range of available games in stock and on the website at all times, that just isn’t feasible. But just because it isn’t on the website, it doesn’t mean we can’t order it in for you. If you’re unsure, the best thing to do is to contact us and we’ll see what we can do for you.

How can I get email updates sent directly to my inbox?

On the home page, there is an option to sign up for email updates from SeriouslyBoard.co.nz. These are tied in with our blog entries, so that you know when we have a new tidbit of news that you may be interested in. We hate spam as much as anyone, so we won’t send you any, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

What happens if I lose a piece from my game?

Unfortunately, there isn’t much you can do in this scenario for the time being, apart from contacting the overseas publishers. We’re looking to set up a way to assist in this sort of scenario, though, so watch this space!
